ACB Announce Squad for World Cup Qualifier 2018

KABUL - The Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) squad for the International Cricket Council (ICC) World Cup Qualifier 2018 which will be held in Zimbabwe from March 4 to 25, a statement from the cricket body said on Monday.
The 10 teams competing for two vacant places in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 split into two groups.
Afghanistan is placed in Group B with host Zimbabwe, Scotland, Hong Kong and the runners-up of the ICC World Cricket League Division 2. Group A consists of former world champions West Indies, Ireland, Netherlands, Papua New Guinea (PNG) and winners of the ICC World Cricket League Division 2.
A total of 34 matches between the 10 participating teams will be played in the ICC Cricket World Cup Qualifier 2018. In the first round, each team will play a game against the other four teams in their group and the top three from both group will qualify to the Super Six Stage where they will play three matches against the qualifying teams from the other group.
