Iran’s Service to Afghan Refugees More than  Expected: UN Official

SHIRAZ - The government of the Islamic Republic of Iran supports Afghan refugees and provides them with services more than the determined amount, said Alexander Kishara, head of United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) Sub-Office in Shiraz, south Iran.
The UNHCR cooperates with Iran so that it can give better services to the refugees, Kishara said in an exhibition on Afghanistan held in Shiraz.
He added that according to the agreement between Iran, Afghanistan, Pakistan and UNHCR, fields such as education, health and livelihood should be paid more attention.
He reiterated that Iran has the main role in giving aid to the refugees and thanked the Iranian people and government for it.
He also urged the Afghans to use the opportunities provided by Iran to become more capable while returnng to their country.
In the exhibition, Afghan music, foods, costumes, artifacts, academic and entrepreneurship achievements were on display. (IRNA)
