Govt. to Consider Public Suggestions in Next Budget

KABUL - Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Abdullah Abdullah on Tuesday said the government would consider people’s suggestions in formulating next fiscal year’s budget.
Talking to his advisors, elders and influential figures from provinces at his office here, Abdullah urged the participants to cooperate with the government in implementing reconstruction and development projects.
According to a statement from the CEO office the meeting discussed infrastructural and reconstruction projects and public priorities.
Elders and influential figures first shared their problems, demands and suggestions with Abdullah in the meeting, the statement said.
The elders and local influential figures called for close supervision of development projects and one of them said: “If projects are implemented properly, it would help resolve many people’s problems permanently.”
After hearing their complaints and suggestions, Abdullah said: “Transparency and supervision of development projects is a priority of the government and focus on this issue is increased.”
The CEO asked elders and influential figures to cooperate with the government in implementation of development projects and addressing their problems.

“If the public share their suggestions about developments with the government, we would consider them in next fiscal year,” Abdullah concluded. (Pajhwok)
