Enemy's Agenda to Divide Afghans will Fail: Ghani

Yazids of today wanted to add to the miseries and problems of Afghans
KABUL - President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani says Afghans are one nation and believed in one creed, a fact the enemy of Afghanistan should know and believed that they will never be able to divide this nation.
The president expressed the view in a gathering marking 10th Muharramul Haram or Ashura Day at Imam Zaman Mosque in Kabul.
He said: “our enemy should know that effort to divide us will fail. We are one nation and believe in one creed. Every sect of our society is our pride and its protection is the responsibility of every Afghan.”
The president said Yazids of today wanted to add to the miseries and problems of the people of Afghanistan. “They want our people to go there and there confused and exhausted,” he added.
“These Yazedis don’t allow boys and girls to go to schools, they prevent medical facilities and vaccination, they carry out blast in bazaars and public places, try to divide Muslims, they want to see a new Karbala every day,” Ghani noted.
He said the people of Afghanistan believed over religious moderation and rejected extremist ideologies. The path of Hazrat Imam Hussain was the path of unity among Muslims. It gave the message of unity not difference and believed on moderation and welfare.
The president and government official offered prayer to the soul of martyrs of the terrorist attack on Imam Zaman Mosque which took place few months back.
Second Vice President Mohammad Sarwar Danish said the unity of Shia and Sunni was exemplary in Afghanistan and it was symbolic in the world.
He demanded the people to behave in a proper manner while commemorating the Ashoura Day and rejected self-torture with knives and other harmful instruments. (Pajhwok)
