KABUL - President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani’s three nominees for cabinet slots were introduced to the Wolesi Jirga for votes of confidence on Monday.
Based on Ghani’s decrees Shahzad Gul Aryubi has been named as minister-designate of Communications, Information and Technology in line with Article 68 (11) of the Constitution.
Yama Yari, the president’s pick for minister of public works, and Mustafa Mastoor, minister-designate of economy, were introduced to the lower house for trust votes.
Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs introduced the cabinet picks to the Wolesi Jirga in accordance with Article 90 of the Constitution.
The president has named the candidates as acting ministers through separate decrees. (Pajhwok)
