KABUL - An Afghan parliamentary delegation, headed by Wolesi Jirga Speaker Abdul Rauf Ibrahimi, will travel to Pakistan in the near future.
The Pakistan visit was discussed during a meeting between Ibarahim, Ambassador Hazrat Omar Zakhilwal and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Farooq Wardak, the speaker’s office said.
The meeting also discussed the agenda of the parliamentary delegation’s talks with political figures from the neighboring country on issues, including the fight against terrorism, the peace process and good neighbourliness.The visit is taking place in response to a request from National Assembly Speaker Ayaz Sadiq.  A joint parliamentary committee may be formed to work for improving ties between the two parliaments. A Pakistani parliamentary team visited Kabul some months ago. (Pajhwok)
