KABUL - President Ashraf Ghani’s former aide Ahmad Zia Massoud on Friday promised struggling till the ouster of the current government, which he branded as corrupt and inefficient,
Speaking to participants of a huge rally against Wednesday’s deadly bombing in Kabul, the ex-envoy on good governance and reforms called the Ghani administration a foreign puppet.
Fired earlier in the year by the president, Massoud said: “We have made a firm decision on pressing on with our struggle until the incumbent government is toppled.”
Meanwhile, Chief Executive Officer Dr. Abdullah conceded protest was a democratic right of every citizen but the demonstrators should name their representatives, who should be present among those investigating the killing of protestors.
He promised finding ways of addressing the demands of proestors. However, the CEO urged the people to realize the gravity of the current situation while presenting their demands. (Pajhwok)
