KABUL - NATO and US commander in Afghanistan Gen. John Nicholson says they remain committed to a stable and peaceful Afghanistan.
In his message on Soldiers Day, Nicholson said: “We honor the Afghan security forces who sacrificed their lives in defense of their country.”
The genera said NATO’s Resolute Support (RS) mission was training, advising and supporting the Afghan forces so they could better protect their country.
“These Afghan forces are our important friends and allies,” Nicholson remarked, asking the Afghans to be proud of their sons and daughters in uniform.
NATO stayed committed to a stable and peaceful Afghanistan and would continue supporting the Afghan government, he concluded. (Pajhwok)
