Ghani Holds Consultative Meeting with Political, Jihadi Leaders

KABUL - President Ashraf Ghani on Wednesday held a consultative meeting with political and Jihadi leaders with regard to major national, security and political issues, a statement said.
A statement from the Presidential Palace received by Pajhwok Afghan News said the meeting was held in Arg before noon on Wednesday.
It said the meeting talked law enforcement, the recent border tensions between Afghanistan and Pakistan and the Afghan government steps in the regard.
Ghani briefed the participants of session on the elections and stressed holding of next year’s election and the independency of election commissions.
Political and Jihadi leaders also exchanged their views about different matters of the country and appreciated the Afghan government’s efforts in terms of holding elections.
The meeting was attended by 2nd vice president, Mohammad Sarwar Danish, CEO Abdullah Abdullah, Jihadi leader Sibghatullah Mujadidi, National Security Advisor Mohammad Hanif Atman, Mishrano Jirga chairman, Fazal Hadi Muslimyar, the High Peace Council deputy head Mohammad Karim Khalili, deputy CEO Eng. Mohammad Khan,  Foreign Minister Salahuddin Rabbani and some other officials. (Pajhwok)
