Taliban Presence in Bonn Depends on Peace Talks Progress: MoFA

KABUL - The Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Sunday said that the presence of Taliban in Bonn Conference depends on progress by the High Council for Peace. Only one delegation will represent Afghanistan in this conference to be held in early December, said Janan Mosazai, the spokesman for the foreign ministry.
Representatives of civil society and women will be part of the Afghan delegation too, he said. Mr Mosazai called the conference a significant event for the future Afghanistan.

"The Afghan government will include the Taliban in the delegation if practical achievements will be made in the peace process," Mosazai told a press conference.

Foreign ministers from about 70 countries are expected to attend the event. A week earlier, the Taliban Supreme Leader Mullah Omar called the conference as symbolic.
