Politicians Urge Improved Relations with Neighbors

KABUL - President Ashraf Ghani on Sunday joined a number of political and national figures in stressing strengthening of Afghanistan’s relations with its neighbors.
According to a statement from the presidential palace, President Ghani met political, national and jihadi figures this morning following his advisory meetings.
Many issues such as improving relations with neighboring countries, regional stability and ensuring security in Afghanistan were discussed at the meeting, the statement said.
The participants also shared their views about issues of national importance and stressed on strengthening Afghanistan’s relations with neighbors. They also urged stressed more such meetings in future.
The statement said second vice-president Mohammad Sarwar Danish, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Abdullah Abdullah, former president Hamid Karzai, High Peace Council (HPC) head Pir Sayed Ahmad Gilani, Abdur Rab Rassul Sayyaf and Chief Justice Mohammad Yousuf Halim were also present in the meeting.
Meshrano Jirga chairman, Fazal Hadi Muslimyar, deputy CEOs Eng. Mohammad Khan and Mohammad Mohaqiq, National Security Advisor (NSA) Mohammad Hanif Atmar, Hedayat Amin Arsala, Mohammad Karim Khalili and a number political and jihadi figures were other participants.
The president once met these individuals on Wednesday last. (Pajhwok)
