Killing Women a Sign of Enemy’s Weakness: Ghani

KABUL - President Ashraf Ghani on Saturday said the killing of civilians, particularly women, was unjustified under any law, calling such acts a sign of the weakness of Afghanistan’s enemies.
The presidential statement comes after five women employees of the airport were killed in an armed attack early Saturday morning in southern Kandahar province.
According to a statement from the Presidential Palace, Ghani expressed his deep shock over the incident and called it a brutal act of Afghanistan’s enemies.
Such attacks have no place in any religion or law and Afghanistan’s foes had once again shown they were against Islamic values and prevented development of the country.
Ghani ordered relevant organs to investigate the shooting and punish those involved in the cowardly attack, the statement added. (Pajhwok)
