CEO Underlines Need for  Implementation of Unity  Government Agreement

KABUL - Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Abdullah Abdullah on Friday said some issues in the country originated from the deadlock that persisted over the implementation of unity government agreement.
He expressed the view while addressing a gathering that marked the anniversary of Wolesi Jirga economic commission members killing here.
He said the country was struggling with issues like insecurity, unemployment and poverty in the recent years, but opportunities existed to deal with these problems.
“We cannot reach to our target without national unity and the goal will be achieved when social justice was implemented,” he believed.
Abdullah said the unity government should be stable and it would happen when the national unity government agreement was completely implemented.
He said negotiation over the implementation of unity government agreement was underway and the issues would be resolved soon.
Foreign Minister Salahuddin Rabani during his address also stressed the need for the implementation of unity government agreement.
The distribution of computarised Identity Cards (ID), conduct of district council and Wolesi Jirga election, and arrangement of Loya Jirga were the main components of unity government agreement which needed implementation.  (Pajhwok)
