UAE Pledges $30m  Donation to Sheikh  Zayed University

KHOST CITY - The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has pledged $30 million donation to the Sheikh Zayed University in southeastern Khost province, an official said Sunday.
Khost governor’s spokesman, Mubariz Mohammad Zadran, told Pajhwok Afghan News the UAE ambassador to Afghanistan, Yousuf Al-Ali, pledged the donation during a meeting with the Khost governor in capital Kabul.
Al-Ali had assured Governor Hukam Khan Habibi of converting the Sheikh Zayed d University into a first grade university in Afghanistan, he said.
Zadran said the ambassador also promised purchase of medical tools and other equipment worth $15 million for the cadre hospital at the in the next three years.
Governor Habibi also sought UAE cooperation in construction of Islamic seminaries and mosques in the province.
Yousuf Al-Ali said he would personally travel to Khost with regard to implementation of projects on the university campus and all other projects that had been suspended. (Pajhwok)
