KABUL - The Minister of Finance on Saturday said work on implementing the segregation of duty plan at organsations presented at the Brussels conference has been launched.  
The international community at the Brussels conference on October 3rd and 4th pledged $15.2 billion for Afghanistan’s development over the next four years.  
Mohammad Eklil Hakimi, the finance minister, told Wolesi Jirga’s Saturday session that the aid would be provided by 38 countries and international organizations. “The pledged aid has been conditioned and will be provided to us against government’s promises with regard to reforms.”  
He said Afghanistan would sign contracts with donor countries and institutions based on which the aid money would be placed at the Afghanistan government’s disposal.
Hakimi said work on implementing separation of organisations’ duties plan had been launched and its first report was formally sent to the Cabinet today.

He said a committee would be creased in line with agreement reached between Afghanistan and donor countries at Brussels Conference to monitor spending of the aid. (Pajhwok)
