KABUL - Tehran will host a two-day meeting on August 9 and 10 on ways of strengthening trade relations with Afghanistan, Iranian media reported on Monday.
Iran's Interior Minister Abdolreza Rahmani Fazli and Afghanistan's Minister of Finance Eklil Ahmad Hakimi would co-chair the meeting, IRNA said.
It quoted Deputy Interior Minister for Economic and Regional Development Babak Dinparast as saying the participants would join different working groups to boost cooperation.
Working groups will be constituted on oneconomic and trade, energy, water, environment, science, culture, arts, healthcare, transport, communications and transit.
The ministers will discuss ways of enhancing trade and economic ties between the neighbours, regional and international issues of mutual interest.
Chief executive officers and managers of 50 government organisations as well as heads of some corporations will attend the event.(Pajhwok)
