KABUL CITY - President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Abdullah Abdullah on the head of a high level delegation on Thursday departed for Warsaw, the capital of Poland to attend NATO summit, a statement from Presidential Palace said.
President Ghani would address the summit and inform the world leaders about Afghanistan’s position of various issues particularly the war on terrorism, the statement said.
The president would hold separate meetings with world leaders on the sideline of the summit and discuss security and other issues.
CEO Abdullah, Foreign Minister Salahuddin Rabani, National Security Advisor Hanif Atmar, Finance Minister Eklil Hakimi, Defence Minister Abdullah Habib, Counternarcotics Minister Salamat Azimi and other officials accompanied the president on this trip.
