KABUL - Mines and Petroleum Minister Daud Shah Sabah has officially sent his resignation to the president, an official said on Monday.
Mines Ministry spokesman Mohauddin Noori posted on his Facebook page that Saba “has resigned from his position.”
Saba had already complained about “curbs” on his authority and mining contacts, government sources had said.
Saba, 52, a resident of Guzara district of Herat, has obtained his PhD degree in geology from India. The Wolesi Jirga granted him a vote of confidence last year, endorsing him as the minister of mines and petroleum. (Pajhwok)
