Half Million of Afghans Suffer from War, Natural Disasters: Report

KABUL - Based on the report released by the United Nations organization 643,000 Afghans have suffered from war and Natural disaster in 2015. The report also indicated that the provided assistance were not enough for the effected people, where most of them are women and children.

Officials in ministry of economy have declared the report published by the United Nations organization full of concerns.

According to report 140,000 Afghans have been displaced due to civil war in Afghanistan.

United Nations Population Fund representative in Afghanistan Wilfred W. said that “women and children are the main victims of war and Natural disasters in Afghanistan, most of the women are being pushed into violence, this issue will go to 26 other countries in the world where women are facing hard life.”

Meanwhile Minister of economy, Abdul Satar Murad, urged that the findings of the United Nations organization will help Afghan Government to assist the needy people across the country.

Earlier Human rights committee has announced that from 2009 up to 2015 about one million Afghans have been displaced due to wars, who are really in needs of emergency aids and supports. (ATN)
