19 Factories Foundation  Laid in Kabul

KABUL - Afghanistan Investment Support Agency (AISA) have laid the foundation of 19 productive factories in the capital Kabul on Tuesday, officials said.

Officials in AISA have said,” domestic production will be increased when the factories are active.”

Head of the AISA Mohammad Qurban Haqjo said,” $100 million will be invested on 19 industrial factories and it will produce electronic instruments, and food items.”

5 factories will produce food items as you all know we import more than $1 billion food items from abroad annually, Haqjo said.

Haqjo further added that the factory inauguration will produce hundreds of jobs opportunities as well.

Head of the Private sector Union, Sherbaz Kaminzada, said that there are three serious problems where we face that Afghans do not use the domestic production, insecurity have tightened our hands to expand our activities, and some of the laws where slows down our activities.

Based on the AISA estimation there are 8 industrial parks which are located in different parts of the country where most of them are suffering from power shortages. (ATN)
