Afghanistan, Denmark Sign MoU on Closer  Political Cooperation

KABUL – A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on political cooperation was signed between Afghan government and the Kingdom of Denmark at the Afghan Ministry of Foreign Affairs Saturday afternoon. The MoU was signed by Deputy Foreign Minister Jawed Ludin and Mr. Anders Cresten Damsgaard, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Denmark to Kabul.
The document was signed based on the principles of respect for independence, national sovereignty and territorial integrity. The objective of the MoU is to strengthen relations between the two countries with the view to facilitating practical decisions to the benefit of a strong bilateral cooperation.

In accordance to this MoU the two countries' ministries of foreign affairs will conduct necessary consultations both in the international context and in the area of bilateral relations, between the public institutions of Afghanistan and Denmark.
The MoU provides for regular annual meetings between high-ranking foreign affairs officials of the two countries, to be held both in Kabul and Copenhagen. (PR)
