Etisalat, 4th Annual Quran Contest A Huge Success

KABUL - Etisalat Afghanistan has begun conducting its 4th Annual Quran recitation contest in Kabul. In the past 3 years the contest has been held annually for participants from all over Afghanistan. The 4th annual contest started on June 30th and the finals will take place on 9th July, where scores of youth under 21 have taken part and the winner of will be sent to Dubai to participate in Dubai International Quran contest.

Etisalat Afghanistan which is an affiliated company of Etisalat UAE is determined to help the people of Afghanistan and as a part of its social responsibilities has been conducting this contest for the last 4 years. While speaking on this occasion Mr. Abdul Hakeem Muneeb, Deputy minister of Hajj and Islamic affairs said, "We are an Islamic country and we must promote our traditions, we must teach our children about Islam and the Holy Quran, it is the book of guidance and knowledge and the humanity need to be referred to this holly book, so that we have a peaceful world." He added, "I also want to thank Etisalat Afghanistan from the bottom of my heart for its generous supports with the people of Afghanistan. Etisalat has always been there for Afghans and has stand with them shoulder by shoulder to develop their country and religious affairs."

Mr. Kefayatullah Nabikhil, media management manager of Etisalat Afghanistan said, Etisalat Afghanistan is committed to promote the cultural and social heritage of the country. Being an Islamic company, there are several initiatives undertaken by Etisalat, like the reconstruction and renovation of Mosques, Food Distribution and the Annual Quran Contest among several other initiatives, Etisalat will be making more positive contributions in the years to come. He also added, "We appreciate the cooperation and support of Ministry of Hajj and Islamic Affairs and Shamshad TV for organizing this event. I representing Etisalat Afghanistan want to welcome all the participants and wish them a very good contest ahead."
