TEHRAN – Presidential candidate Saeed Jalili has said that Iran is among the top 10 countries that have mastered peaceful nuclear technology despite all the pressures exerted on the country.

Speaking on a radio program on Saturday, Jalili, who is the secretary of the Supreme National Security Council and a chief nuclear negotiator, said that Iran has achieved significant progress through “resistance”.

He added that Western countries had asked Iran to suspend its 3.5 percent uranium enrichment program for two years in exchange for nuclear fuel plates, which Iran rejected and could produce it itself. (Agencies)
