KABUL - Iran's Intelligence Chief has claimed to have concrete evidence to prove that Osama Bin Laden died of natural causes quite long before the US special force raid in Pakistan.
Iranian Intelligence Minister Haider Moslehi has said the Al-Qaeda leader Osama Bin Laden was not killed in a military operation conducted by a small team of US Special Forces in Abbottabad city in Pakistan. Afghan Experts view the Iranian official's claim as propaganda.
After the Iranian cabinet ministers' meeting on Sunday Iran's Intelligence Chief said that his country had solid evidence that the Al-Qaeda Chief Osama Bin Laden died of illness some time ago. Mr. Moslehi asked "If the US military really arrested or killed Osama, why didn't they show his dead body, why did they throw his corpse into the sea?"
The Iranian official's comment comes as the US President Barack Obama has called on Pakistan to investigate and find out about Osama support network.
Ahmad Zeya Nikbeen, an Afghan lecturer at Kabul University, said "Iran is the biggest rival of the US in the region and can never accept US intervention in the countries in the region.
" Meanwhile, a widow of Osama Bin Laden has said they had been living in Abbottabad compound for six years. (Tolo News)
